Job Description:

  • Extensive experience in conducting ethnographic research methods (qualitative, behavioral, observational, 1:1 research)
  • Should be able to lead qualitative user research studies from beginning to end, including:
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Recommending appropriate research methods
  • Developing discussion guide, screener
  • Facilitating user research in-lab or in the field (e.g. in customer homes, in call centers, with technicians)

Additional Skills:

  • 4-7 years’ experience planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting on user studies for discovery and evaluation.
  • Expert in a range of user research methods used to gather qualitative and quantitative data (contextual interviews, field observation, diary studies, formative and summative usability testing, concept testing, card sorting, survey development, secondary research analysis, etc.)

  • Systems admin type more on the Ops side than Dev engineering
  • Will work directly with the program manager on established operations team
  • Configuration issues, troubleshooting, day to day operations, not afraid of command line, logging into production box, data analysis
  • Building brand new CDNs with partners so on the Ops side this person will be building new systems, automated building
  • Python, Ansible would be nice
