Managing the Initiation to Nationwide Deployment for a New Product

Our client needed full lifecycle help with launching a new product.

In an on-going, seven-year engagement with our client, NorthStar Program and Project Management (PPM) resources provided both the overall support to design, develop, test and deploy the end to end process for ordering and activating their Digital Voice Self-Installation Kit (CDV SIK) as well as planned and executed a synchronized nationwide rollout of a their CDV SIK technology device.

The effort included the management and consolidation of 50+ stakeholder groups, including Provisioning, Billing, Fulfillment, Infrastructure/Network, and Application teams, their detailed plans and technical and business requirements. NorthStar flawlessly maintained the alignment of the program objectives with the greater organizational goals and vision. Multiple functional areas and related programs, such as Training for all markets, were effectively coordinated and synchronized during the complex delivery. Benefits realization was also tracked and reported.

After the successful delivery, NorthStar was retained to provide ongoing program planning, decision support, risk management, issue management, schedule management, communication management, and reporting. The project initially drew upon NorthStar’s PPM talent; however, technology integration and system upgrade assistance were also needed, thus NorthStar delivered on those client needs as well.
